This crochet pattern is super-easy.  I recently a squiggly worm for my 9-year-old grandson, thinking he would be delighted.  Maybe he’s a tad too old.  He just looked at it, and disappeared into his room and his computer, leaving the little worm on the dining room table.  Turns out his cats liked it better than he did.  But this little worm holds promise for younger boys and girls.  And if you don’t get any enthusiasm, tell them it is a cat toy.

●G crochet hook
●worsted weight/4-ply yarn
●2 googly eyes

Chain 31.
Single crochet in second chain from hook.  Single crochet in each chain (30 single crochets).  Chain 2, turn.
Double crochet in first 4 stitches.  3 double crochet in each remaining single crochet (this will cause the curling).
End off.
Glue on two googly eyes.
