Crochet a Snow Storm of Snowflakes

This is a very easy crochet pattern.  I consider this one seasonal and make them fall through winter.  As with my other little crochet projects, I indulge during down time when visiting my grandchildren and leave the finished snowflakes behind for them to find as they will and hopefully trigger memories of Grandma.  I did discover that kitties really enjoy these snowflakes, too.

materials
●G crochet hook
●worsted weight/4-ply yarn, or any other yarn adjusted to the proper size hook

directions

Chain 5.
Join into first chain with a slip stitch to form a circle.
     round 1
Chain 4 (this counts as a half double crochet + chain 2).
Make 5 half double crochets with a chain 2 into the circle.
     round 2
Working into the 6 spaces you just created, begin with a slip stitch into the first space to the left of your hook.

Chain 3 + slip stitch into same space.
Chain 5 + slip stitch into the same space.
Chain 3 + slip stitch into the same space.
make 5 more clusters
Chain 1 + slip stitch into the next space.
Chain 3 + slip stitch into same space.
Chain 5 + slip stitch into the same space.
Chain 3 + slip stitch into the same space.
end
Chain 1, slip stitch into the very first slip stitch of this round.  To end, either bind off, or chain 10 and then slip stitch again to make a loop for hanging.
