52. Michu was a sweet cat that sailed across Panama and Colombia. He kept company to the crew and to the guests while sailing across San Blas. It was a hell of a trip, and I was very sea sick. The first day of the sail, he mostly hid under the bridge. He must have been so sick, poor kitty!

53. I was in Cotacachi, Ecuador, and it had just stopped raining. I was walking back to the bus stop, and I spotted this lovely lady who was just looking outside her door, curiously. Her cat was doing the very same. She smiled at me, and I asked her if I could take a picture. She did not mind and smiled at the camera for me. I then went to pet the cat, but he decided he was too busy for me.

56. This sweet little feline is one a many feral cats who live amongst the ruins Ephesus, Turkey. They are all quite friendly and “tame,” letting anyone give a scratch behind the ear or to an exposed fluffy belly. Ephesus is their home and who knows! — they may just be the descendants of 6,000-year-old cats who also called Ephesus home.

71. This calico cat has the run of The Classy Flea antiques shop in Jamestown, California. You’d think she’d choose to nap in a nice soft chair instead of a display of prickly pins.

78. I met this beautiful cat at a quiet canal-side museum in Amsterdam called Museum van Loon. I was delighted to find a sign warning visitors not to let the cat inside the museum before this friendly cat charmed me. This beauty belongs to one of the neighbors, however it loves to spend its time prowling the private garden, cuddling with visitors, and trying to break into the museum. What a place to call home!

82. This desert cat lives in the sumptuous indoor/outdoor restaurant at the Captain’s Camp in Wadi Rum, Jordan. I loved dining out in Jordan, because all the best restaurants have several resident cats. The servers gently shoo them, but diners slip tidbits to the cats of Jordan.
